So, Matt went fishing yesterday with his Dad, and another father/son pair. AND...GUESS WHAT?! He caught his first fish! In keeping with our family tradition, Barry forgot the camera at home, so we have no evidence of this momentous occasion, except for the fact that Matt treats us to the "re-living" of the tale several times a day. The fish was just a little one, so Matt was actually able to reel it in all by himself, and his little voice swells with pride each time he tells us (or, even more exciting for him - someone who hasn't heard the story before) that he caught "THE SMALLEST FISH!!"
(The picture I posted is one of a previous fishing trip, his first experience holding a fish - still a big deal, but that isn't "his" fish)
Wouldn't it be amazing if we could all take such notice of the smallest things, and be just as excited over them as we are over the biggest things?
Love to all,
Laura
